Community

We care about our community and contribute to its well-being through participation in a variety of activities. We provide physical therapy clinical internships for many local collegiate and high school students who want to learn more about physical therapy as a possible career choice. These interns get a chance to see close up how physical therapists work with patients to relieve pain and restore physical function.

Many CSUMB Kinesiology students intern with us and eventually work into paid positions with us as personal trainers/physical therapy aides. Our interns who apply to a doctor of physical therapy (DPT) professional preparation programs have a very high success rate. We have excellent relationships with multiple DPT programs in California and throughout the USA and they value our letters of recommendation that our interns earn.

We provide guest lectures in Sports Medicine classes in our local high school and colleges as well. We love to introduce our profession to eager young students. Our staff participates in many of the local athletic events including the Big Sur Marathon, the Sea Otter Classic (the world's largest cycling festival) the Pacific Grove Triathlon, and other local events. We sponsor all volunteers from our team who want to participate in the Run For the Fallen each year. We thank all veterans who have served and honor those who have fallen protecting our nation.
